Yes, it is for you! CrossFit is for anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness, and are ready to make this positive lifestyle change. Anyone and everyone can do CrossFit.
CrossFit is a high-intensity, quality over quantity, constantly varied training program. We specialize in fitness! CrossFit tests all levels of fitness, including balance, stamina, cardio-respiratory endurance, strength, power, flexibility, accuracy, agility, speed, and coordination!
The workouts are always challenging, engaging, and fun. CrossFit is a community-based group filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and integrity.
Here at CF707, our primary mission is to train you for Life! Our programming is based on General Physical Preparedness, which is intended to provide a well-balanced physical conditioning. Basically, it’ll make you kick ass at life! 😉
SHOULD I GET IN SHAPE BEFORE STARTING CROSSFIT?
NO! That totally defeats the purpose of our job! And, besides, no matter how “in shape” you are, you are not in “CrossFit-shape.” So, even elite athletes who train 3x a day still get a piece of “humble pie” at their first CrossFit class! Sure, being in shape will help cushion the blow a little, but it definitely is not required to start. We’ve literally had members go from the couch to they gym with us, and today you’d never guess they were 50 pounds overweight, borderline Diabetic, and couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs! 😉
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Email or call us, or come on in and watch a class! If you think you’re ready to take the plunge, we like to start all new members with one-on-one sessions so that we can get to know you, figure out your movement patterns, any limitations, talk about your goals, and teach you proper form and technique for specific movements and lifts. We want you to succeed right from the beginning, and with private sessions, you can gain great tools and skills to be able to then participate in class with confidence and injury prevention.

WHY ARE YOU PRICES SO EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO OTHER GYMS? WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM ANY OTHER GYM?
The short answer is ~ We aren’t more expensive. The cost of other local gyms and health clubs don’t include personalized small group training, personalized goals and plans, experienced instruction in movements and Olympic lifts, nutrition education, as well as a sense of community and camaraderie. Those other gyms can have thousands of members, because they know most of you won’t use the gym!
Our higher prices reflect our commitment to offering you the best possible personal fitness training in all of Benicia. Think about how much small group sessions or personal training sessions cost you typically ($30 to $100/hour). At CrossFit 707, we charge our members less than $10 per class, which is a great deal!
Remember, we don’t just show you a machine and tell you to use it, nor are you just another number at our gym. We work with you, teach you new movements, focus on your specific goals, help you understand your body and how to maximize your potential, how to move safely and efficiently, and build a strong community here that we consider family.
Our gym is so much more than a “gym.” It is a home away from home. It is a family. Everyone knows each others’ names, their children go to school together, they cheer each other on in the workouts, they encourage and celebrate each others’ progress and results, and the coaches take the time to get to know each and every client personally so that they can tailor their coaching to meet every individual need.

I’M A WOMAN, AND I DON’T WANT TO GET TOO BULKY!
NO! This is one of the most common concerns and myths among women! The women you see who are huge and “manly” are products of lots of hormones and other supplements that make them that way. Women don’t actually get that huge naturally. In fact, you will actually get leaner and toner doing CrossFit.
A LOT OF THE THINGS I SEE IN YOUR WORKOUTS, I CAN’T DO! HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO DO CROSSFIT, THEN?
The beautiful thing about CrossFit and our professional staff is that we can scale and modify anything and everything! “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” Just because you can’t do something right now, doesn’t mean you can’t do it eventually. So, we scale and/or modify movements to meet each individual’s needs and abilities to help them gain strength and flexibility to be able to one day do the movement unassisted.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WORKOUT?
The straightforward answer is ~ The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it! In a perfect world, 3 days on and 1 day off would work wonders! But, we all have this crazy thing called a “Life!” So, it’s making the time to get in here as much as possible, whether that’s every other day, every two days, or four days a week.
WHAT ABOUT NUTRITION / DIET?
Everyone wants a simple, cookie cutter answer for this. They want us to tell them what to eat, and it will magically give them the results they dream about. The truth is, though, nutrition is the hardest part of all! But, we can help you figure out what works for you and your needs. Nutrition is NOT a one size fits all kind of deal. It is completely individualized.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY, DISABILITY, CONDITION, OR OTHER TYPE OF ISSUE THAT MAY LIMIT MY ABILITIES?
Again, the beauty of CrossFit is that we can scale and modify everything as needed for your own needs and abilities.
WILL I BE THE SLOWEST PERSON THERE? WILL I HOLD UP THE CLASS?
This is the most common fear of many new members to CrossFit. First of all, you could never hold up the class, even if you wanted to – It just doesn’t work that way. Secondly, whether you are first or last in the workouts, what matters is that you are there working hard! Some days you will be slower, other days you’ll be faster. But, we are all in it together, and no man is left behind here!
